Traditional Bagheli Folk Song*
Baghelkhand is a small province located in the center of India. Where the spoken folk language is Bagheli. And its deep-rooted culture and folk arts are a center of great attraction in themselves.
‘Dadar’ is a traditional folk song sung in Baghelkhand, which is especially sung on the arrival of new daughter-in-law in the house. For the first time, I participated in the Kala Utsav 2023-24 at the divisional level in which I secured the first position. Thereafter, I secured first position at the state level, and after that I represented Kendriya Vidyalaya Jabalpur region at the national level. The National level of Kendriya Vidyalaya Kala Utsav was organized in Kolkata, in which contestants from 26 regions were included.
Therefore, at the national level I secured fourth position out of 26 regions.
